Round 1 - Wrap Up & Results
Doyle Brunson, Dewey Tomko & Vince Van Patten Win Round 1 of the High Stakes Entertainment Golf Tour
Event Results
Format:
This event on the High Stakes Golf Tour stipulated that each of the 9 players would ante up $1 million dollars in order to participate in the first event. The players decided the format of the game, negotiated the tee boxes and rules; just exactly as they do when they play like this away from the television cameras, tournament spectators, friends and family.
The format for the event was a three-man team scramble and each of the 9 holes would be worth $1 million. If two teams tied with the lowest score on an individual hole, then all teams tied, with no money won on that particular hole. There would be no carry-overs. Just like any Skins game or Nassau played on any given day on any course in America, money is paid out based on what you actually win; no guarantees, win or lose.

High Stakes Entertainment:
Each event on the High Stakes Entertainment Golf Tour will have its own format. These games are not “made for television” events; they are the actual games golfers play each and every week somewhere around the world. The HSE Golf Tour difference is that these games are for the very highest of stakes and with the world’s greatest poker players and most interesting personalities.
This coming Sunday will feature nine two-person teams, including Phil Ivey and Janet Jones Gretzky, playing an 18 hole Best Ball tournament with each team putting up $250,000, for a total of $2,250,000, and the winning team taking home $1,125,000. The show will air on ESPN, Sunday, Oct. 28 from 3-5pm EST.
