Russ Hamilton

Russ Hamilton & ArmadaRuss Hamilton has been playing poker for a long time. In fact, he started when he was 7 years old. However, it was in 1984 that he really started to take the game seriously, and he moved to Las Vegas to be able to pursue it. Before this, he was already a successful gambler, but he wanted to spend more time on it. He, like many players, acknowledges that luck plays a factor in the game, but he feels that the real secret to success is a positive attitude. Winning the World Series of Poker was one of Hamilton’s biggest goals. Of it, he said “it puts you in a very elite group of poker players that very few people can enter”. Ever since his win, Hamilton has not been very active in the tournaments; he prefers to play for money. Not much has been heard from him, as he mostly plays in cash games now, but he is still an excellent player, and one to be wary of if you ever end up at a table with.
